Conducting Open Houses/Safety - RE36R05
The student will learn how to prepare property for viewing. Examples include removing clutter, avoid dangerous distractions, securing valuables, medicines and weapons. The student will learn their role as a seller's agent. We will discuss seller agency relationship at an open house. The role of the facilitator at an open house. When to obtain agency disclosure. The student will learn the agent's responsibility while conducting the open house. Strategically placing observers through property to ensure proper security. Proper sign in sheets. Whether or not to serve refreshments. The student will learn safety procedures such as the 10 second rule and the arm and half rule, the buddy system and safety on the road. We will discuss actual cases of real estate agents being mugged, attacked and even murdered. This is a must-attend class.
