Regulations, laws and liabilities associated with the Wetlands Protection Act are covered in this course. Students will learn the history of wetlands protection and come to understand terms like ‘buffer zone,’ ‘vernal pool,’ ‘oligio,’ and ‘Messo Eutro.’ This class will describe proper procedures for building on or near wetlands and detail issues such as milfoil and Secchi readings. Don’t sell properties near wetlands, lakes or rivers without taking this class!
